It’s no secret that Apple is hoping to take the piss out of Nintendo’s choke-hold on the portable gaming industry, and with devices like the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch having apps that rival many of the games you get on the Nintendo DS, they have good reason to be concerned.
Having just posted their quarterly report that blew the pants off of analyst that follow them in the stock market, Apple reported huge sales in iPhone, iPods and Mac Computers.
The Apple iPad has finally received a release date today. The much maligned piece of consumer electronics from the company famous for expensive, yet sexy hardware will be releasing the iPad to the unwashed masses of America next month on the 3rd of April.
This made my day, and is the first time I’ve heard of these being ported to the iPhone. To me, the iPhone is officially in competition as King of handhelds now. I hope beyond hope that they bring out FFVI for the iPhone. I’d pay upwards of $20 for that.

Seeing how the iPhone sold approximately 6 times as many iPhones in the second quarter of 2009 compared to 2008, I don’t think Apple really has to even try anymore. In case you’re wondering, that number translates to about 5,000,000 iPhones sold in just the last 3 months. That’s insane and sexy at the same […]
Thanks to an interview with Lucas Arts CEO Darrell Rodriguez, Joystiq brings us news that all of the games listed in Gibbo’s post yesterday will be headed to the iPhone. Here’s the catch though, he couldn’t actually say that they were coming on the iPhone due to some stupid policy that Apple has about companies […]
