childhoods end

One of Arthur C. Clarke’s best novels Childhood’s End is getting a miniseries treatment (6 hours worth) via Syfy with a staff featuring a highly efficient producers Michael De Luca and Akiva Goldsman, and a writer (Matthew Graham) and director (Nick Hurran) who both cut their teeth on Doctor Who and other British Television series.

The story is about an alien race coming to Earth and putting a stop to war, famine, pestilence, and all struggles that humans face, creating a virtual utopia on the planet…but for what reason?

I know how it all ends but I don’t want to ruin it for any of you, but I’ll be there on day one to watch this adaptation for sure.
