Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist – Trailer
I know, I know, what you’re saying to yourself is probably something along the lines of “yay another Ken/Ryu history lesson”, but listen…not everyone has watched all of the same obscure anime, VCDs, or has played every single game since the series first began oh so many years ago. Not everyone is burnt out on the origin story of Akuma or even the segments where Ken learns how to do the flaming shoryuken or when Ryu learns to throw his first hadoken. Even those who might be pessimistic about the storyline should give a watch to the trailer above because it’s nice to see a damn decent attempt at making great live-action video game shows.
The new series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist (the name is a translation of the Japanese “Ansatsuken” which the style that Ryu/Ken are learning) will be a 12-episode season released on the Machinima YouTube channel on the 23rd of this Month…which is only 11 days away. I think it looks like a killer show for being independently made.
The series itself stars Mike Moh as Ryu, Akira Koieyama as Goken, Togo Igawa as Gōtetsu, Hal Yamanouchi as Senzo, Gaku Space as Gōki, and Mark Killeen as Ken Masters’s father.
