Stock Up on Rosewill Products This Weekend
If there’s one thing that I find helpful for Labor Day weekend is that there tends to be a bunch of sales that take place but it is geniuinely rare (as in search the site, I can’t remember the last time I made a post about a sale), for me to let you know that one is coming up soon.
I may be posturing a bit to my family by posting this here, but there are two products; one goes on sale today, and one monster of a deal that will be going up on Sunday the 4th of September. All of these deals are available through Newegg and we wouldn’t normally make a deal out of it, but we honestly think you’ll want to hear about these.
First up is something many of you might not think about, but has quickly become necessity in ALL PCs and that’s wireless internet. Yeah yeah, I know you’re probably more concerned with latency and download speeds and all that jazz, but when you don’t really use your PC as a download hub or even for online gaming, it’s handy to have a wireless adapter.
The Rosewill RNX-N150PCe Wireless Wi-Fi Adapter comes in at one hell of a steal at only $8.99 with FREE SHIPPING (that’s $13.00 off the price they normally ask at $21.99). It’s your standard 802.11 b/g/n adapter that can handle up to 150 Mbps transfer rates and has your usual WPA/WPA2 encryption ready to roll out of the box.
All you have to do is plug it into a free PCI-E slot on your motherboard, boot up, install the driver (windows usually can do this faster than you), and scan for the nearest network. It’s pretty damn easy to setup and the price is simply amazing.
Lastly, to finally get to the one product I’ve been waiting a while to get at a discount, which will be happening ON SUNDAY the 4th of September ONLY…is the Rosewill THOR V2 ATX Full Tower Computer Case. I’ve been meaning to build up my own PC and with the price that they’re asking for this beast of a case, is a steal.
When it goes on sale this weekend, it will have its price slashed down to only $84.99. Keep in mind that this huge case is normally priced at $149.99, that’s $65 in savings.
What makes this case so special? Well considering it’s a full sized tower, there’s a glut of options that open up to you when you have so much space…and we all know how space in a computer means less heat build up and more possibilities for insane builds.
Take for instance that the inside supports XL-ATX Motherboards and E-ATX Motherboards, you’re already off to a good start. It has 10 expansion slots which is just insane to think about considering how cheap SSDs have become over the past year or so. It can handle the 330mm video cards meaning that that monster GTX-1080 you’ve been looking at, yup it’ll fit just fine.
To keep all of that gear cool is where this case truly shines. It comes with the following fans INSTALLED already:
Front – 1 x 230mm Red LED Fan (the LED features an on/off switch)
Rear – 1 x 140mm Fan
Top – 1 x 230mm Fan
Side – 1 x 230mm Fan
If that’s not enough cooling for you out of the box, there’s always the option of adding an additional fan on the bottom. This case runs COOL.
All of the 5.25″ bays, 3.5″ trays all feature a screw-less design and all of the trays support either 3.5″ or 2.5 HDD/SDDs.
One last detail for this awesome case is that the PSU is mounted on the bottom instead of the top of the case…which isn’t something you see that often, I don’t know about you guys but being able to have the cable at the bottom is a great design change.
This case comes in at a whopping 30 lbs, and is nearly 23″ x 9″ x 20″, it’ll take whatever you throw at it.
