Michael Shannon Opens Up On Man of Steel

Michael Shannon Opens Up On Man of Steel

You know that each actor for a movie has to come out and support their product, but in this case let’s give Michael Shannon a chance to defend his movie AFTER he attacks it.

Archer – Sea Tunt: Parts I & II

Archer – Sea Tunt: Parts I & II

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every single second of this season of Archer. It seems that after the crew from ISIS finished season two, they managed to hire a whole new gaggle of extremely crafty writers who were going to college the same time as me.

So I Joined a Gym – No Hungy Editorial

It was with a giant gnashing of teeth and much wailing and thrashing that I decided to do the one thing that I was trying to not do when it comes to my philosophy of No Hungy…I joined a damn gym.

How I Ruin Television For Myself

How I Ruin Television For Myself

I love watching TV with my kids, I love watching it with my wife…for the love of Crom, I even enjoy watching the boob tube with complete strangers in bars (though that may be VERY infrequently). However there is something festering inside of me that is destroying the fantasy, that thing is my own brain.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Review

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Review

Millions upon Millions of eager fans will be lining up, freezing (not really), huddled for warmth (not really), and willing to kill (not really) as they clamber inside tightly packed (only for a day or so) theaters, waiting in anticipation (ehh.) for the release to screen of the Peter Jackson adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien’s […]

Animes for Non-Anime Watchers

Animes for Non-Anime Watchers

Anime. Animu. Those weird Japanese cartoons with all those tentacles. No matter what you call it, there is no denying that the American audience has fully embraced these animations from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Geek Dad Report: The First Set of Graduations Ceremonies

Geek Dad Report: Solo Dad Weekend

Geek Dad Report: Solo Dad Weekend

The longest I’d ever gone watching my two adorable little knee biters was a “day” perhaps. The need for quotations was that my wife eventually came home at some point within that 24 hour period. So, how did I fair when she left for a 3 day excursion on the east coast to attend a […]

Geek Dad Report: Maim, Kill, Destroy But In a Nice Way

Geek Dad Report: Maim, Kill, Destroy But In a Nice Way

What happens when your kids start getting to that age where they start re-enacting the things that they’ve seen, especially when it comes to fighting? You’re in for a heap of trouble, broken things, lot’s of children’s Band-Aids and a wife giving you “that look”. Yes, that look. The one where you know you’re in […]

Geek Dad Report: Repetition, Repetition, Repetition

What is it with kids and wanting to watch the same movie/tv show or hear that same damn song for the millionth time? Even after numerous times of telling my kids as they cry and pout in the backseat that “Hey Duckbills” is a freaking CHRISTMAS SONG ABOUT DINOSAURS. Christmas was 2 months ago. It’s […]

The Artist

The Artist

This morning (Jan 20th) I went and saw The Artist at the Broadway Center Theater here in Salt Lake City. It took forever to get here; it opened in limited release in the US November of 2011, and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival May of last year.
