This supplement to the Rock Band digital music library brings us some interesting tracks from the 60s and 70s as well as super hard for the sake of being super hard metal songs.
From the official Rock Band forums:
It’s an interesting pairing of songs this week for sure! The Days of Peace Pack sees 3 legendary classic rock tracks from the late 60′s and early 70′s, while the singles bring some of the most notoriously difficult songs in music gaming to the RB library. Enjoy!
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (March 29):
Days of Peace Pack 01
• Jefferson Airplane – “Somebody to Love”
• Blood, Sweat & Tears – “Spinning Wheel”
• Santana – “Black Magic Woman” X
• DragonForce – “Through the Fire and Flames” X
• DragonForce – “Operation Ground and Pound”
(All tracks are original master recordings)
(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system March 30)
These tracks will be available for purchase as individual tracks and as “Days of Peace Pack 01” on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii. Tracks marked with “X” will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.
I want to see some kids shred “Through the Fire and Flames” on Pro mode. Good luck using your hand after that one. As per usual, the tracks are 2 dollars on each of the respective platforms. I’ll be picking up “Somebody to Love” so I can do my best Jim Carrey impersonation for my indifferent cat audience.
Looks like they are adding more what people would universally consider “classic rock” lately. Which is a good thing. Anything here strike your fancy?
