No More Heroes To Go Multiplatform?
If Goichi Suda gets his way, we’re sure it will.
He stated recently on EDGE that No More Heroes will need to quit being a Wii exclusive if the series ever stands at becoming a franchise.
“I really want to make NMH a big franchise, and with this second episode have bigger success. I’m putting a lot of care into developing this IP, as I feel there’s a lot of potential.”
Is Suds seriously implying that having his game on the biggest selling system in the world isn’t quite enough to make NMH2 a serious franchise? Doesn’t he know that Nintendo are the kings of rehash?!? He continues:
“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii, to expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”
Maybe he merely wishes the Wii were a stronger system that is capable of the HD gaming that MS and Sony’s consoles are capable of doing. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this all pans out. I’d personally love to see a much beefier No More Heroes on either the 360 or PS3 myself, though I really did enjoy the first game.
