Nintendo 3DS Priced and Ready to Go
We knew this day was coming. We just didn’t know it would be so soon after the Japanese release. On March 27th (or March 25th for the UK), Nintendo’s newest handheld console will hit shelves at the strangely reasonable price of $249.99 (or a bloated £229.99 for you unfortunate readers across the pond). With a reported 30 titles coming within a short span of its launch and full support for both DS and DSi titles, the system is already looking to be a great deal.
The main multiplayer issue with Nintendo consoles will be a thing of the past with the 3DS, as the game-centric Friend Codes have been replaced with a less infuriating system Friend Code. Unfortunately, the handheld will be using region locking, which Nintendo states is a result of the varying ratings systems and regional downloadable content. Sorry, importers, but it’s looking very likely that you will need to splurge on a second system to get your Japanese gaming fix.
So what do you think, readers? Will you be buying a 3DS soon?
