While this isn’t the go to place about televisions, we thought you might want to read about this. If you’re in the UK, looking to buy a 22″ inch TV and are one of the 3 people who still don’t have a Playstation 2 then you’re in luck. Sony’s Bravia KDL22PX300 has just come out and features a PS2 built into it. As well as the ability to play PS2 and I’m guessing PS1 games, you can also use it for DVDs and CDs like you would on a normal PS2. Also, as is expected these days. It also features built in Freeview, which is the free digital channel service broadcast in the UK. It also includes BRAVIA Internet Video which allows you to access Youtube, Lovefilm, BBC iPlayer and more when you plug an ethernet cable into the TV. Sounds pretty handy to me, especially if you need to catch up on something on BBC. Finally, it has the all important  HDMI ports, a VGA port, a component port and a SCART socket, so connecting other hardware is no problem either. I think this is a pretty good deal provided the Playstation 2 part works as it should. It’s certainly just as a television for an office or bedroom/dorm, given its size. It’s also very good value for money. As an isolated example, the cheapest 22″ inch TV at Tesco is their own brand TV for £190, so to get a Sony TV and with a built in PS2 for an extra £10 makes it well worth it in my book.

I might even pick one up myself in the future. If I do, I’ll be sure to tell how the experience shapes up compared to the traditional console. If you want to have a further look, here is the website selling the TV. This is a UK exclusive for now though.
