This week sees new manga releases from Seven Seas Entertainment, Vertical Comics, and VIZ Media.

Ajin: Demi-Human Volume 4 by Gamon Sakurai
Vertical Comics – MSRP: $12.95 — Buy it here for $11.05

Encouraged by a fellow demi-human’s stunt, many more who have been keeping a low profile come out the woodwork. Their morals vary – and high schooler Kei Nagai is by no means the most decent among them.

The Fog battleships Haruna and Kirishima have been destroyed through the combined efforts of the I-401 and the Japanese government’s “White Whale” sub, and the port of Yokosuka is safe – but the same can’t be said for the I-401. While still damaged from the battle, the 401 comes face to face with a Fog submarine that Iona doesn’t recognize, and it’s not exactly friendly.

The latest addition to the misfit students of Class 3-E is a Norwegian robot specially designed to assassinate their teacher – but sadly lacking in social skills. It’s nothing Koro Sensei can’t cure with a little super-fast tentacle work. When playboy Maehara gets dissed by a girl for being in Class 3-E, revenge is clearly warranted – and Koro Sensei can help with that too. Then Irina, the English language teacher/sexy assassin, gets a visit from her murder mentor.

Yuzu and Mei may be step-sisters, but that’s about all the two girls have in common. Yuzu is an outgoing girly-girl who cares more about fashion than school work, while Mei is the serious student council president. Yet despite their differences, or perhaps because of them, the two girls find themselves drawn to each other. Mei has been running herself ragged trying to oversee the school, and Yuzu is worried about her. When Mei’s dad comes home from a business trip, however, it looks like the cavalry has arrived. Unfortunately, his presence opens up old wounds between father and daughter, and Yuzu finds herself caught in the middle. Will Yuzu put aside her feelings for Mei to help fix this family feud?

The assignment is to invent a new dish worthy of appearing on the high-class Totsuki Resort’s breakfast menu. To create their dishes, Soma and his friends use the combined knowledge and confidence they’ve gained while at the cooking camp to individually pass the challenge – everyone, that is, except for Soma. Having made a critical error, he finds himself behind with little time left.

Library Wars: Love & War Volume 13 by Kiiro Yumi

The Media Betterment Committee has silenced a famous writer, and Library Forces member Iku Kasahara and her supervisor and secret crush, Dojo, must fight to protect his right to speak and live. As the Library Forces wage a fierce battle against censorship, Iku and Dojo’s burgeoning relationship provides the team with a welcome distraction, and – unfortunately for them – some comic relief.

Hako Natsuno’s bad luck hasn’t improved, but her alien boyfriend, Io, takes everything in stride, even when his feelings for her cause him to be repeatedly struck by lightning. The two have barely started dating when a naked alien girl arrives on Earth and says she is Io’s true mate.

Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates continue their adventures in Dressrosa, which has been taken over by Doflamingo.

Pokemon Adventures Black and White Volume 7 by Hidenori Kusaka

Pokemon Trainer Black meets White, a Pokemon Trainer who runs a growing talent agency for performing Pokémon. Will Black catch show biz fever too? Meanwhile, mysterious Team Plasma is urging everyone to release their beloved Pokémon into the wild.

Skip Beat! Volume 34 by Yoshiki Nakamura

The President of LME has called Kyoko in for a special meeting, and she is all set for Judgment Day, especially when Ren shows up too. But to her complete shock, Lory doesn’t reveal that she has feelings for Ren. In fact, he’s giving “Setsuka” some time off so Kyoko can study for finals. It seems like her secret is safe from Ren, but there’s no hiding from her own feelings.

It’s fork vs. flame as Toriko and longtime rival Starjun duel for dominance. But while their battle rages on, NEO continues to viciously decimate both the IGO and Gourmet Corp.

Hime is really excited about her new role in the hot anime series Cruel Octalia. But the fan response (including from her friends) is just lukewarm. Hime knows she needs to do more research into the character, but recent events have made her too confused to go to the best source of help – Senri Kudo.

World Trigger Volume 5 by Daisuke Ashihara

Border headquarters is abuzz with gossip about talented new rookies Yuma and Chika. But it’s Osamu who attracts the most attention when an A-Rank agent challenges him to a duel. Then it’s Yuma’s turn to fight when another A-Rank agent challenges him. Plus there’s that meeting with Border’s top brass that they just got called to. Is there such a thing as too grand an introduction?
