This week sees new manga releases from Dark Horse Comics, Kodansha Comics, Seven Seas Entertainment, VIZ Media, and Yen Press.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Volume 2 by Satoshi Wagahara

In the Sasazuka neighborhood of the Shibuya district of Tokyo, newly minted part-time burger-flipper and former Devil King Satan (now known as Sadao Maou) clashes with Lucifer, a fallen angel who used to serve him! But how will the onetime king deal with his rival now that his magic power’s run dry? Now that the devil is one of us, he’s going to have to get creative.

Inu X Boku Secret Service Volume 8 by Cocoa Fujiwara

Mikoto Inugami’s friendship with Watanuki has alerted Zange to the fox’s plot to repeat the Night Parade, which claimed so many supernatural lives over twenty years ago. The residents of Ayakashi Hall rush to confront their enemy, but time is not on their side. Inugami’s plan is not to initiate the Parade in this incarnation, but to revisit the past.

Monster Perfect Edition Volume 5 by Naoki Urasawa

Does the book hold any clues to the mystery of Johan’s birth? One mystery leads to another as events unfold. The border police spot Tenma when he tries to smuggle himself into the Czech Republic to look for Johan’s mother. With the help of Grimmer, a freelance journalist, Tenma manages a narrow escape. Though the two men part without discussing what brought them together, Grimmer is also deeply interested in the same thing Tenma is looking for – 511 Kinderheim, which once existed in East Germany.

My Little Monster Volume 9 by Robico
Kodansha Comics – MSRP: $10.99

Mizutani is a self-absorbed overachiever, concerned only with maintaining the highest grades in school. Haru is an impulsive short tempered brute, who scares everyone with his explosive bursts of violence. Haru gets suspended on the first day of school when he encounters some bullies harassing a student and dispatches the bullies with great bloody violence. Mizutani is tasked with delivering school materials to Haru who interprets this as an act of friendship and latches on to Mizutani, much to her dismay. And so begins a strange and potentially combustible relationship.

Prison School Volume 1 by Akira Hiramoto

On the outskirts of Tokyo stands Hachimitsu Private Academy, a storied all-girls boarding school for elite young women full of potential and good breeding.
