This week sees new manga releases from Kodansha Comics, Seven Seas Entertainment, Vertical Comics, and Yen Press.

Umetarou Nozaki, a high school student leading a double life as an ultra-popular shoujo mangaka, is an extraordinary guy. But not to be outdone by Nozaki-kun, the people who hang out with him are pretty unique in their own rights too for some reason. And that’s just one way of putting it.

Ikki goes head to head in a battle with Sleeping Forest’s Ringo. A jealous Hako swaps out a part on the Wind Regalia, ultimately putting Ikki and Kururu in danger. When Hako is kidnapped, an Air Trekless Ikki is forced to go up against Team Sleeping Forest. Will Ikki and his friends have what it takes to rescue Hako, or will her time be cut short?

An assassination scheme is afoot with the hopes of rekindling an interplanetary war between Mars and Earth. Luckily, Asseylum, the princess of Mars, manages to defy death and escape to Earth under a false identity. Meanwhile, Asseylum’s close friend Slaine Troyard believes the princess to still be alive and rushes to save her.

Handa-kun Volume 1 by Satsuki Yoshino

Before his exile to an island and his exploits with Naru and friends in the pages of Barakamon, Sei Handa was a neurotic teen and aspiring calligrapher who was convinced that his classmates despised him.
