This week sees new manga releases from Seven Seas Entertainment and VIZ Media.

Deadman Wonderland Volume 10 by Jinsei Kataoka
VIZ Media – MSRP: $9.99

After hunting down Tamaki, the Wretched Egg appears in front of Ganta, and he finally learns that it is Shiro behind the mask. Standing before the court, his heart torn between wanting revenge for his slaughtered classmates and not wanting to hurt the person he still cares for, Ganta’s sentence is reversed. Still on the brink of despair, Ganta decides to put an end to everything.

The rumors of Awaya Niki befriending Yoshimatsu Hotaka as a way to get closer to the class hunk, Soga Shunsuke, have reached Hotaka himself. Inclined to believe the worst, Hotaka prepares to accept his pathetic lot in life. But a magical moment under the rain reveals the joyful truth: Niki is not using him and really, truly wants to be friends with Hotaka. Just as Hotaka is starting to think that life is beautiful, his two best friends Soga and On-chan go at it in a very public confrontation that ends with one storming out and the other reduced to tears. Amidst all the conflict, Awaya Niki suddenly decides to break off her friendship with Hotaka without offering any explanation or reason.

A man going by the name of Ryubi has been trying to destroy a village inhabited by raccoon dogs called tanuki. Utsuho and his friends, however, have been standing in the way. Utsuho’s strategy, aided by the use of infiltration and medicine, seems to be working well enough to give him the upper hand in the conflict. But victory is far from assured, and the cost to achieve it may prove to be too high on both sides.

Alibaba, Aladdin, Morgiana, Hakuryu, and Kogyoku each leave Sindria on their own quests. For the first leg of their journey, they will all be aboard the same ship, and Alibaba can’t resist stowing away on it too. The high seas are dangerous though, and an encounter with pirates will lead them on a journey they never expected to take.
