My Fall TV Axe List

So just like the start of every new TV season my wife and I are ambitious about what shows we want to watch. Thankfully, we have a DVR that just records the heck out of everything that we could possibly get into and gives us time to watch them when we can get around to it. So, what shows DIDN’T make my TV Viewing schedule this year? Read on to find out what shows and why got booted from my DVR.

Amazing Race – I missed the first episode due to my wife accidentally deleting it, started watching a little bit of the second episode and just got bored. Leaving this show to the wife for the rest of the season.

Biggest Loser – You know, after spending the last four or five seasons of just making fun of how fat everyone was, and using it as a night to eat a big bowl if ice cream while watching it has lost its allure. I didn’t even watch the first couple of episodes we recorded, and my wife didn’t complain when I deleted them without asking her.

How I Met Your Mother – I used to love watching this show, we didn’t get into it until a couple of seasons ago, but my wife gave up on it last season and well, I just couldn’t find the time to get into the first couple of episodes. Even with fast forwarding through commercials. Neil Patrick Harris is still the best thing on that show though.

Law and Order: Las Vegas – After giving up on Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and every other one, I realized I didn’t give a crap who was in this one. I can’t take that BUM BUM noise anymore.

Law and Order: SVU – I think the first episode I watched was about kids being molested and hurt. My wife was sobbing, and I was fighting back tears, being a young parent with babies, this isn’t a show for me anymore.

Little People Big World – Matt Rolloff is a douchebag, plus, I’m tired of seeing the inside of their house look like a disastrous pig pen. These people live like slobs, their two oldest boys as lazy, unmotivated dumb asses who are dragging down society like the rest of their generation. Oh wait, are they in my generation? Crap.

Nikita – I wrote about this show already in its own article, I just didn’t get into it. Nikita is a body type I just don’t find attractive or fun to watch in sexy underpants. Nikita got 2 episodes out of me before I deleted the timer from my DVR.

Sister Wives – Yes, I watched this. I live in Utah, and well, I wanted to see what it was all about. After two episodes I had everything I wanted from this show, now it is just up to my wife if she wants to keep watching it before the family gets thrown in a Utah prison.

No Ordinary Family – This is all I have to say about this show after watching one episode. Heroe’s Lite. After the disappointment of Heroes I just can’t stomach another comic bookish superheroes show.

On the Fence:

The Event – I don’t know how much longer I’m going to keep watching this, I’ve had the 3rd episode sitting there waiting for me, but I just can’t seem to delete it without watching it. I think this show has that ‘Lost’ factor. I don’t know if I can deal with another Lost type show, my mind is STILL a rollercoaster trying to figure out Lost. Which at least Lost had Hurley. The Event doesn’t have a big fat guy that you want to love. We’ll see.
