Mr Stinklines Talks ‘Total Recall’ Reboot

Colin Farrel talked to IGN about the reboot of Total Recall, it’s going to be more serious it seems. Though, the only thing I can think about being more serious about is giving him more stinklines in every image I see of him.

To me, this is an unnecessary reboot of a movie. Total Recall was a well encapsulated film that had enough Ahnold liners in it for the memory banks and that extra boob that drove your newly puberty stricken mind into a quick cold shower. So I’m not feeling any better after reading this interview done with Colin Farrel, who is going to star in the reboot:

“The film, tonally, is really different. I loved that original and I’ve seen it recently and it’s still great. It’s so enjoyable from start to finish. But it’s really camp. I’m not sure how camp it was back then, because I didn’t have a reference for such notions when I was a kid. I say this not in a disparaging way, but there’s not as many kind of winks to the audience. It’s played a lot more straight. And of course, it’s going to be with the advent of certain technologies and special effects. I’ve seen some of the pre-vis stuff that [director] Len [Wiseman] has already designed with his team. It’s f**king amazing, man! I don’t know what the film is going to be like, but lookswise, it’s incredible.”
