Morning Cup o’ Indie
Today’s double shot is extra special, as it features two of my absolute favorite bands. The first song is “The Soldiering Life” by The Decemberists, a band I was introduced to nearly 6 years ago (and the topic of an almost essay-like article I wrote months ago).
The second song is “Oh Comely” by Neutral Milk Hotel, a well respected indie band from the late 90s, whose magnum opus In the Aeroplane Over the Sea featured this 8 minute song. The voice may take a little time to get used to, but you’ll soon be hooked by the poetic lyrics.
