All hopes for the live action version of Akira and that should include whatever hopes that I had at all for a real life version of an anime, have pretty much been thrown right out of the window.

WATCH on February 11
Universal and the crew at Illumination Entertainment, the same guys who animated Despicable Me, are betting that people have been dying for a movie that’s based on the Easter Bunny…hey, as long as we’re taking Easter away from the Christians, I’m all for it!

RLR #76 – Captain Planet

FEATURED on February 11
YES! It’s finally Friday and I’m writing this post at 1:30 in the morning, shortly after the show was finished recording…and I can’t wait until 6 to actually post it because I honestly think this is one of the better episodes we’ve ever done. It’s that sexy.

One of the most anticipated comic book movies coming out this year is X-men: First Class. I’m a huge X-Men fan and I am eagerly waiting for this movie. The trailer shows a lot of promise. It feels like an X-men movie, I got chills up my spine watching a lot of the trailer. It has a similar look to it that I can fit it in with the other films....

How To Train Your Dragon 2 is Coming

WATCH on February 9
I wrote about it some time ago about how this movie became a daddy/daughter moment, and it really was one of the best animated movies that I had seen since Wall-E. If Dreamworks Animation can keep up the quality with the sequel, I’m game.

Captain America – Superbowl Trailer

WATCH on February 7
Geez, you’d think that there was only movie trailers during the Superbowl last night. Well…that’s the only bit that I really paid any attention to mainly because of big reveals like this where we finally get to see Chris Evans in the flesh as Captain America. Oh and Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull is in it for a whole half of a second.

Transformers 3 – Superbowl Trailer

WATCH on February 7
I didn’t have much hope for the newest Transformers movie that Michael Bay is releasing upon the public this July, but I think that with just a 30-second TV spot, my opinion might have shifted significantly.

Kung Fu Panda 2 – Superbowl Trailer

WATCH on February 6
I’m going to catch holy hell for this, but I’ve become a bigger fan for Dreamworks Animation projects over those from Pixar. That’s not to say that I don’t love Pixar, but to me, they’re #2.

Fast Five – Superbowl Trailer

WATCH on February 6
Yes, the Superbowl is today…in fact, it’s going on as I write this and in typical WPR fashion, I’m actually watching the damn thing for the commercials. There has been the one trailer from Jamie this morning about Cowboys vs Aliens, but that movie has fallen off my radar now that I know that Fast Five exists and is coming out on April...

Maria Hill in The Avengers?

WATCH on February 5
Sam Jackson loves to toy with the press. He took some time the other day to drop hints at his character’s appearance in the new Avengers movie. He says on the show that he is going to be screen testing 5 actresses in the hopes of finding Nick Fury’s female sidekick, and all of us Marvel geeks know that is.

Sanctum – Review

WATCH on February 4
Have you ever sat in a cave for more than an hour? No? Ever thought about doing it? No, because the only possible scenario where you’d consider it would be to find shelter in some post-apocalyptic nightmare and you had no other options. Hate to tell you folks but nothing too exciting is coming out to save your weekend. Sanctum is a film slapped together...
