Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelled for “Not Fitting Criteria”
We all knew it was coming, but we didn’t expect it so soon.
Capcom has officially put Mega Man Legends 3, a risky sequel to a series that hasn’t seen a title since the first PlayStation, into the trash heap. Allegedly, the now-cancelled 3DS title was not up to an unspecified level Capcom wanted at the current stage of the prototype. Those who contributed accepted ideas for the community driven game will not, however, be left in the dark, as they will “receive a commemorative gift, which will be shipped at a later date”.
This marks the second Mega Man game this year that has been cancelled (Mega Man Universe was cancelled early this year), completely removing the franchise from Capcom’s upcoming release schedule.
