Not one to let Gearbox Software have all the glory, Rockstar Games has revealed that their 1940s sandbox title, L.A. Noire, is ready for launch.

The game, which is developed by Team Bondi (a company founded by the writer of the PlayStation 2 hit, The Getaway, Brendan McNamara), will be ready to eat hours of your time on May 17th (May 20th in the UK) on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The trailer, provided below, features all in-game footage and shows off its much anticipated MotionScan technology, which uses 32 individual HD cameras to capture more accurate facial expressions. While it’s still not perfect, the technology is extremely impressive.

While I’m not the biggest fan of Rockstar Games’ earlier works, I must say that Team Bondi has made this game look extremely appealing.
