iOS 4.3.3 has just been released and is available to download from iTunes. Now, this obviously doesn’t stop your iDevice tracking you by default, that’d be ridiculous. This is Apple after all. What it will do is reduce the amount of location data that is kept and it won’t back it up to iTunes so that the location data can’t be just be easily found with the right computer tools. Of course, the whole reason for the update is here too. When you turn off Location Services on your iOS 4 device, it will no longer secretly track your movements. This software update applies to the iPhone 3GS/4, the iPad 1/2 and the 3rd and 4th Generation iPod Touch. For Steve’s sake though, remember to read the terms and conditions before you decide to accept them. He’d be upset if it doesn’t read.
