It Came from Obscurity: Oíche Mhaith

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

Unlike the holidays, this depression isn’t going to cost you a dime.

Oíche Mhaith (Irish for “Good Night”) is a new collaboration between indie gaming veterans Terry Cavanagh (VVVVVV) and Stephen Lavelle (Pirouette) made in just a week’s time. While not a difficult game by any means, Oíche Mhaith really shines in its cutscene-free storytelling, which unravels into quite the twisted and macabre tale of a little girl’s struggle to keep her family together. That being said, those wishing to play during work hours should note that while this game can be completed in the span of a coffee break, they may want to watch out for wandering eyes on this one.
