I know that by writing this article I risk these five songs forever being stuck in my head. I also thought it might be a little fun to get a couple of them stuck in yours! What are some of the songs that pop into your head and never seen to leave?
Indiana Jones Theme Song. I don’t know if it’s because these have always been my favorite movies, or if that tune is just so damn catchy, but I can make buying groceries feel like running away from a boulder when this song pops in my head!
Super Mario Brothers Theme. This song is so deeply rooted inside of me, because it’s from the first game that I ever truly remember playing. Also, for quite a while, the only game my family had. And as we would only have enough time to play World 1.1 before we’d get called off to do chores or come to dinner, I’ve heard this song a lot!
Inspector Gadget Theme Song. Apparently most of them are theme songs. Those addictive little jingles that seem to contain our whole childhood in just a few simple notes. Inspector Gadget was an afternoon treat for myself and younger brother when we ran in the house from school. Ah, good times. How simple life once was.
Tiny Chainsaw. Finally one that is not a theme song! But don’t let this little 30 second song fool you, it will stay with you for DAYS!! It’s cute and funny and oddly familiar, but after the billionth time it’s played through your head you too will be screaming, “Ahh Ah Ah Ah Ahh”.
I Wanna Kiss You All Over. I know, quite the opposite end of the spectrum from the others, but as we all know, there is not always rhyme or reason to the things that stick with us. I picked this specific clip because it is not the whole song that gets stuck in my head. I don’t even know the whole song. In fact, if you asked me, I couldn’t even tell you one other line from this song. All I know is that one line, and I that I sing it just like this in my head.
