You’re gonna have to dig deep if you’re buying Resident Evil 4 for a sixth time. Yep, both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code Veronica X will cost $20 or 1600MSP each when they land on XBL and PSN. Resident Evil 4 will be released on Games On Demand (not XBLA) and PLaystation Network on 21st September, where as Code Veronica X is available a week later on the 27th September, with that game being counted as an XBLA game. Both games get the usual “HD” upgrade as well as achievement and trophy support. Resident Evil 4 will also contain the Ada Wong Separate Ways mini story that featured on the PS2 and Wii versions of the game.

You could probably justify Resident Evil 4 costing $20 with the amount of content it packs in, but it amazes me that they’re charging the same price for Code Veronica X. After all, it was originally a Dreamcast game and for comparison, Dreamcast games that have been released on these download services have usually been about $10. A game that old, quality aside, does not justify that price in my eyes. Of course, you may still be able to import the Japanese disc compilation of the two games depending if it’s region free (on 360) and has the language options. I think it should be $15 but regardless, I’ll have to bend over and take it for Resident Evil 4 all over again.
