Gran Turismo 5 Delayed, AGAIN! NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!
I’m seriously getting pissed off by Yamauchi-san when it comes to this game…I was fully hoping that this game would finally be in my hands in the next couple of weeks (since it was announced for its November-ish release date). Turns out that I’ll have to buy other stuff to keep me entertained in the interim.
That’s right, those of you that were also hoping that this would be out soon (Gibbo I’m looking at you) will have to join me as we continue to sit on our hands in the hopes of ever getting to play this continuously delayed piece of software.
If you’re wondering where my information is coming from, it comes from Mr. Taku Imasaki, a SCEA producer, who wrote on the Official PlayStation Blog:
“We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
We’ll have more information for you in the near future, but said that it will be coming this holiday season.”
Is it just me or does it seem like the development cycles for new GT games are starting to take exponentially longer with each one that comes out? What I hate most about this comment is that it doesn’t even attempt to nail down a date…just pushes it back to the vagueness that is “holiday season”, which could be next month or sometime in the first couple of months of 2011.
I hate you Gran Turismo 5.
