Get hot Portal action for free now, no cake included
To celebrate the launch of Steam on Mac (and I heard something about Linux support as well), Valve is keeping their reputation as the best gaming developer ever by giving away one of the greatest games of the last decade, 2008’s Portal. All you have to do is log onto to Steam via the website or through the software itself and you will see an advertisement for the free game on the right column. Then you are just a few clicks away from downloading it. Did I mention it’s free?
If you somehow haven’t played this game then you owe it to yourself to download it! While a half decent PC will be needed, Source Engine games tend to work quite well on a variety of differently ranged PCs depending on the in-game settings, so it’s at least worth a try. If I could run Team Fortress 2 on low settings on my laptop then it is surely possible. While it weighs in at a whopping 5.8GB, I can tell you that it is definitely worth it. So go get it now!
