You comic fans out there should recognize the name, but if you’re completely oblivious to it, he’s the writer for Preacher and oh so many other comics that share the same sick minded fun like Hellblazer and The Punisher. Well, it seems comics are never enough for one man as talented as he.

He is in the process of making a new short film (as writer and director) titled Stitched that can be best described as Black Hawk Down meets 28 Days Later…needless to say, we’re intrigued and disgusted at the same time as we will not be able to attend the screening at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. If you’re attending, be sure to check it out on Thursday night in room 6DE @ 8:15 PM. I wish we could be there, it looks like good fun. The tagline from the movie’s poster says:

High country, eastern Afghanistan. The graves open. The dead rise. The war goes on.
