The first trailer for the Spielberg directed, Peter Jackson produced, Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish written adaptation of Georges Remi/Herge’s comic book strip of the same name got its first trailer today.

I have to say, I was sceptical about the Zemeckis esque CGI face capture that TinTin is employing but after seeing the trailer, I’m excited. The talent behind the film is brilliant and the story itself looks like it’s going to be full of fun and adventure. TinTin is played by Jamie Bell and also providing voices for the film are Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Daniel Craig to name a few. Spielberg has had to rights to make a TinTin film since 1982 but it’s only this year that the film has finally been made. It is released in Europe in October, with a US, Canadian and Australian release following in December. Bear in mind we Europeans usually have to wait at least a month for a film, so the shoe’s on the other foot for once.
