Extended Lord of the Rings Coming to Blu-Ray in June
Wanted to see some hobbits in glorious high-definition, but were annoyed that the publisher still insisted on giving us the theatrical releases? Well, your wait is almost over!
Warner Home Video has officially announced that the trilogy of extended Lord of the Rings cuts will hit Blu-Ray on June 28th as a 15 disc set. However, be forewarned that nine of these discs are standard DVDs (owners of the DVD extended cuts will recognize these discs as the Appendices). Also, if you thought the new format would bring the extended cuts to one disc each, think again. Each film is being remastered from the original digital files, so they’ll need all the space they can get.
