Last night ECCC hosted a Carol Corps Celebration at the Museum of Flight to kick off this year’s festivities. Kelly Sue DeConnick greeted a steady stream of adoring fans. (I hope someone was bringing her drinks!) She was a gracious guest of honor as she chatted or signed autographs and posed for pictures all night long.

The night showcased lots of costumes from classic Ms. Marvel to the new Captain Marvel—with many cool innovative presentations—and lots of Avengers. We Love Fine designed a t-shirt and patch for the event while Espionage Cosmetics had a table displaying their ECCC nail wraps and other wares. The crowd was a social bunch! People were definitely making new friends and bonding over admiration for Kelly Sue’s work and Carol Danver’s character.

The venue could not have been a better fit for the story of Carol Danvers, the pilot. This was my first visit to the Museum of Flight and felt a bit ashamed of that after taking a quick tour of the floor. There are so many aircrafts and interesting exhibits. Plus, the museum has numerous flight simulators. I must go back and give those a try.
