It’s been rumoured for a while now but Sega have laid them to rest today. As expected, Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will both be coming to XBLA and PSN in time to coincide with the 11th Anniversary of the Dreamcast and there are plans for more titles further down the line. These will get all of the usual bells and whistles that comes with these platforms with upscaled resolutions, online leaderboards and achievements/trophies for each game. Being the little lap hedgehog he is, Sonic Adventure will be the first game to be released, sometime in the autumn. Both games will be on the show floor next week at E3.

That’s all there is for now. At the moment it looks like only Sega will be porting games but it’d be nice to see other companies get involved (Code Veronica on XBLA please Capcom). And yes, we can already hear you screaming for Shenmue, Jet Set Radio and the like.
