Dark Horse to Publish Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out in November
Dark Horse announces the continuation of Alex De Campi’s excellent series Grindhouse! This November, Dark Horse will once again publish De Campi’s twisted, exploitation tales with a slate of amazing artists in Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out.
What Dark Horse has to say:
From the perverted mind of Alex de Campi (Smoke/Ashes, Lady Zorro) comes the follow-up to Grindhouse, a sleeper hit and one of the most acclaimed series of 2013, just in time to celebrate the holidays in bloody style!
With alternating covers by superstar artist Francesco Francavilla, this series is just as excessive, gratuitous, and tasteless as the first—just like you love it.
Grindhouse is back from the dead, and it’s meaner, badder, and dirtier than ever! In the first of four new exploitation opuses, we join writer Alex de Campi for “Slay Ride,” a bloody Christmastime western with art and covers by R. M. Guéra (Scalped, Django Unchained).
Future arcs include “Lady Danger: International Agent of B.O.O.T.I.,” a sexy espionage story featuring art fromAfua Richardson; “Blood Lagoon,” a sequel to our very first story, “Bee Vixens from Mars,” with art by Chris Peterson; and “Nebulina,” a Barbarella-style space-bound sex fest, with art by Ulises Farinas (Catalyst Comix, Judge Dredd: Mega-City 2)!
Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out #1 is on sale November 12, 2014, in comic shops everywhere (where it’s not banned)!
De Campi’s Grindhouse is one of my favorite reads. It is twisted and fun, and sort empowering in a weird way. Catch up on the first series: buy Grindhouse: Doors Open at Midnight Double Feature Volume 1 TPB and pre-order Grindhouse: Doors Open at Midnight Double Feature Volume 2 TPB – Bride of Blood and Flesh Feast of the Devil Doll this very minute. Do not wait! It’s that good (if you like this sort of content for mature readers).
