What do you do when you live in the future, that looks like it sucks? Well, you play a game that makes World of Warcraft look like Pong.

This six issue run, with story/art done entirely by Nate Simpson looks like it’s off to a promising start. I have to say, the artwork on this thing was fantastic. If you want clean, detailed imagery in your comics, this is top notch. The story goes a little something like this; Dana Stevens, delivers tamales, and apparently is living with her mom and sister with no career/future in sight. She does have this fantasy type game (Jarvath) though, where obviously she’s a bad ass. When she kills the Queen of a legend of a game character, it just makes the shit hit the fan.

STORY: 90%

OVERALL: 93%

I’m really interested to see where Nate takes this comic, I really dig the premise and I can’t wait to see how the next 5 issues unfold. If you want artwork that is what I’m not going to hesitate is above a lot of what you’ll get in comics, this is it. The story had great pacing and combined with his own artwork, I’m sucked in. Plus, who doesn’t dream of a game where you’re fully immersed in the world that you play in? It’s any WoW raiders wet dream. Make sure you pick this comic up this Wednesday when it comes out.
