Capcom Offers Questionable Quality Comparisons for Resident Evil Revival Collection
While the improvements do look impressive, take this video with a grain of salt.
Code Veronica’s changes, I believe. The game originally released back on the Dreamcast, then was later revised for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube, so it never looked that crisp to begin with. It’s the Resident Evil 4 shots that I’m not convinced with. The GameCube version, hell, even the PlayStation 2 version never looked that bad. It’s almost like you’re looking at the original screenshots after a half dozen shots of tequila.
The Revival Collection releases on September 8 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a retail bundle in Japan, with separate digital downloads available for Western audiences on PSN and XBLA later this Summer.
