Buzzard #3

Didn’t Buzzard #2 just come out?  Must have been late.  That is OK.  I got to read them both in one afternoon.

Verdict:  A short mini-series focusing on Buzzards quest for his own death has been a good idea.

Buzzard is, of course, written and drawn by its creator:  Eric Powell.  In addition, to the 18 pages of Buzzard, there is also a Billy the Kid’s Old Timey Oddities back-up story.  It is six pages long; written by Mr. Powell and drawn by Kyle Holtz.

Billy the Kid’s Old Time Oddities is returning next month, in a new miniseries:  Billy the Kid’s Old Timey Oddities and the Ghastly Fiend of London.  (The last page in this back-up story gives the idea that the Fiend is Jack the Ripper.)

Hopefully, after this Billy the Kid mini, Mr. Powell will get back to his best creation, The Goon.  After Goon Year ended last spring, there has only been one issue of The Goon (out last November).  This Buzzard mini has definitely helped tide Goon fans over.

This mini is a good, enjoyable read, but it is not The Goon.

Buy it and then be patient.

Bottom Line:  $3.99/$3.99
