Box Office Report June 30th

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

This week’s Box Office Report is infested with Transformers, which had a huge opening in spite of the almost universally horrible reviews.  We will see if those reviews hold any sway in the next week.  22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2 both retained their spots in 2nd and 3 rd place respectively while last weekend’s first place opener, Think Like a Man Too, fell to fourth.  Maleficent held a steady 5th place, bringing it’s 5 week domestic gross to just over $202 million.  All while the Sci-Fi action epic Edge of Tomorrow continued to drop after 4 weeks.

Opening Wednesday July 2
Deliver Us From Evil

NY police officer Ralph Sarchie investigates a series of crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest, schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the possessions that are terrorizing their city.

Earth to Echo

Tuck, Munch and Alex are a trio of inseparable friends whose lives are about to change. Their neighborhood is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. But just two days before they must part ways, the boys begin receiving a strange series of signals on their phones. Convinced something bigger is going on, they team up with another school friend, Emma, and set out to look for the source of their phone signals. What they discover is something beyond their wildest imaginations: a small friendly alien who has become stranded on Earth. In need of their help, the four friends come together to protect the alien and help him find his way home. This journey, full of wonder and adventure, is their story, and their secret.
