Box Office Report August 11

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

This Box Office Report sees something terrible happen.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles defeated the Guardians of the Galaxy by just over $23 million.  It really isn’t a surprise,Ninja Turtles was a highly anticipated film with a substantial cult following, it would have been more surprising had the film not opened in the number one spot.  Next week will see two highly anticipated film open, The Expendables 3 and The Giver.  The competition for the number one and two spots will be tight.  Next weekend will have audiences spread thin, bringing box office totals down across the board.
