Box Office Report Aug 18

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

This week at the box office Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles managed to hang onto the number one spot, but only just, trailed by Guardians of the Galaxy only $3.5 millions short.  While newcomers Let’s Be Cops, The Expendables 3, and The Giver all showed up 3rd, 4th, and 5th place respectively.  Totals for last weekend were significantly down from last weekend, continuing a downward trend until the fall season starts, things usually pick up around October.  This is an excellent time to check local independent cinemas for some of the smaller films that are well worth seeing.
