Gone Girl slipped past Annabell, but only by about half a million, both knocked The Equalizer from the top spot.  The Boxtrolls hung unto the number four spot while The Maze Runner slipped down to the fifth.  Falling further down the list is the awkward comedy This is Where I Leave You.  And still hanging on, but losing steam domestically, Guardians of the Galaxy.  With the Halloween film season opening for the next few weeks we will see flash in the pan horror films pop into the top ten and quickly fade away into obscurity, where, arguably, most of them belong.
