What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the world malignant? I bet you anything it’s cancer. Well, that’s exactly the premise of the new sci-fi series coming from BOOM! Check out the press release, and my opinions after:

Written by James Wan, fan-favorite author Michael Alan Nelson (28 DAYS LATER, DINGO) and art by international sensation Piotr Kowalski, MALIGNANT MAN is sure to be the most exciting original sci-fi series on comic book stands this April!

Dark, twisted, and unlike anything else on the stands, MALIGNANT MAN is a sci-fi thriller that can’t be missed!

I’ve loved just about every book that BOOM! Studios has put out recently, including the Disney ones…and most of you know me not to be the type to put up a press release of something unless I think it’s going to be amazing. Besides the cheezy name, I can almost guarantee you the cost of this book to be worth the price for at least the first issue which will be arriving this April.
The art by Piotr Kowalski and the writing by Michael Nelson (from 28 Days Later) excites me. I’m a big fan of both their bodies of work and think that you’d be remiss to not give this one a shot.
