Oliver Queen, you have not failed this city…
In what should be the definition of a no-brainer, CW has renewed Arrow for a third season. The hit show is CW’s most watched series, drawing in 3.9 million views each week. Given the popularity and strong following for the show, this is one renewal that was never really in doubt. Still it’s always good to have a fan favorite like this one renewed early(I still have flashbacks of the agonizing annual renewal wait for Fringe). With Arrow even helping to launch anther possible DC superhero series, The Flash, look for the CW to continue it’s strong support for this fantastic show as they capitalize on the growing superhero television market.

CW also handed out a few other early renewals to it’s other hit shows. The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, The Originals, and Reign are all coming back next year. If you’re a fan of Beauty and the Beast, Hart of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries, and Tomorrow People you unfortunately are going to have to wait a little longer. With so-so ratings, and potential replacement series Star-Crossed, and The 100 looming, it’s gonna be a wait and see situation till most likely April or May. So I guess if you’re a fan of one of those shows, now might be a good time hedge your bets and start watching Arrow, or one of the other already renewed series while you wait.
