Arrow Has Found It’s Flash
The Flash has been spotted….on the set of Glee.
The Flash is speeding his way to ARROW this fall, and now we finally know who’s going to play him. The CW and WB have announced that they cast Glee star Grant Gustin to play everyone’s favorite scarlet speedster. The 23-year-old will play Barry Allen in 3 episodes of ARROW this season, with the last episode being a possible back door pilot to a Flash series, if the character is well received.
I’ve never seen Glee, so I can’t really provide any insight into his ability as an actor, but I was a little surprised to see Gustin cast mostly because he is so young. Considering Barry Allen was already an established forensic investigator at the time of the accident that turned him into the Flash, I assumed someone a little older would’ve been handed the job. But given how good ARROW has already been, and with all the hype already surrounding a Flash spinoff, I will give the CW and WB the benefit of the doubt and trust they know what they’re doing.
Here is the CW and WB’s official description of the ARROW version of Barry Allen:
Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fan boy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.
ARROW returns Wed Oct 9th on the CW

I am the last son of a dead planet, sent to Earth to save it from the evil forces that conspire to rule it. Using my super strength, lightning speed, power ring, indestructible shield, gadget belt, iron suit, powers of flight, and most importantly, my epic awesomeness, I continue my never-ending fight to protect those who can not help themselves...I'm starting to think maybe I've read one too many comics.
