Apple iPhone 5 and 7th Gen Nano Rumors

When you sell some of the hottest consumer electronics on the market (hottest meaning ‘in demand’) you get all sorts of spies trying to find out information about your latest releases or soon-to-be released platforms. Then again, sometimes spies aren’t necessary.

First up, there’s the rumor that the iPhone 5 will be equipped with an 8 megapixel camera that will be supplied by Sony.

This came about from an interview with Howard Stringer (Sony’s Chairman, President, and CEO) in the Wall Street Journal concerning a Sony plant in Japan that was a victim of the earthquake/tsunami recently. He said that this would cause delays in getting camera sensor parts to Apple. Here’s the deal though…Apple doesn’t use ANY Sony parts in their products.

If this is the case, then we can almost guarantee that we won’t be seeing a reveal of the next iPhone at Apple’s next big event in June.

Second, we have rumors that the next generation iPod Nano will have a camera…like it needed one.

A spy blog that has been pretty damn accurate about these rumors have secured a shot of the case for the iPod Nano with a camera hole in it. That’s all the evidence that we have, but considering that Apple seems to be sticking a camera on everything these days, I wouldn’t doubt it.

Speculate away Apple fans!
