AMC is Developing Companion Series to “The Walking Dead”
Have you been sitting there saying to yourself, perhaps the person sitting on the couch next to you. “I sure do wish there was more of The Walking Dead, but not you know, The Walking Dead.” AMC and Robert Kirkman were saying it too it seems.
There isn’t much information at this point of time, at least that AMC is willing to spill in their email we just got from them.
The Facts As We Know it:
- NETWORK DEVELOPING COMPANION SERIES TO THE WALKING DEAD
- ROBERT KIRKMAN, GALE ANNE HURD AND DAVID ALPERT ON BOARD AS EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS
- TARGET ON-AIR DATE OF 2015
Robert Kirkman had this to say:
“After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” … “The opportunity to make a show that isn’t tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.”
Season four of The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 13. Becky will be covering all things related to the episodes as they premier. Brian put it on his Fall TV must watch list. So, to say that the staff is probably a little excited about this announcement, might be low hanging fruit.
