If you read Variety, then all signs point to yes…there will not be Lois Lane in the film at all. Zack Snyder has other things in mind for the Man of Steel.
The movie that Mr. Snyder will be directing takes place before Clark Kent goes to work for the Daily Planet. Hopefully this means that our Clark Kent story will play out more like the graphic novel Superman: Earth One where Clark is soul searching to find out who he could be, rather than the person we know he inevitably becomes.
