2011 Golden Globe Nominations

Golden Globe Nominations have landed! I know it’s less prestigious to win a Golden Globe than an Oscar, but the selections/winners of this award seems to run more towards my own tastes, so I tend to pay more attention to this one than any other.

Some of things that caught my attention- “Inception” was nominated for the holy trinity: best drama, director, screenplay, and as an added bonus original score. Johnny Depp was against himself as best actor in a comedy, he was nominated for “Alice” and “The Tourist”. Both Mad Men and Dexter seem to be neck and neck in the TV Drama category. Glee was nominated for Comedy TV series, and actor and actress, also Jane Lynch was nominated for best supporting actress. The one thing that really bothered me is that for some reason Steve Carell is still being nominated for The Office; I wonder if it is because this is supposed to be his last season.

This is the short list, as the complete list could take days to go through.
